Today there was a news story about a friend of mine who is an attorney and a high profile case that he is working. We’ve been friends for years and he is a cracker jack lawyer, but I hope I never have to call him for legal advice. I have sent other people to him for legal advice, but so far I’ve been able to keep under the radar. He’s helped everyone that I sent over, so that’s reassuring, as well.

It is comforting to have friends who are lawyers, or at the very least know the names of the best ones so that if you get into trouble you can readily call on someone that you know. There are different specialties, such as domestic law – which is for divorce, custody, adoptions, etc. – and there are Federal Criminal Defense Lawyers, which is at the total opposite end of the legal spectrum. You need to know the names and phone numbers of each kind of attorney that you can trust and keep them in your wallet. Just in case
